Ok mate no worrys, I just thought I would post it up incase anyone wants a trip round whilst they are there! If nobody wants to thats fine I will arrange a meeting place near where you guys will come off the motorway (Knutsford services) And we will go strate to Bakewell from there!

Stu, I like Dan will not be going anywhere near the M6 as you will... we are coming from completely different directions to you. Its much quicker to just go straight there otherwise we will be detouring for miles on end.

To show you what route I shall be taking i've uploaded my route on a map.

Scotty if I was coming up from Solihull I'd take the A446/A38 to Lichfield, A515 to Sudbury, Ashbourne, then before Buxton turn right to Monyash with the camp-site off to the right in about a mile. You can clearly see the road to the left on the map you put up. That's my NEC / Stoneleigh Kit show route done many many times.

I'd have put the route up but can't figure out how to get the google route on here.

Don't worry I know my way around the Peak District very well. Me and Sarah go up there every month or so and always come back with a Bakewell Tart

Don't you mean Bakewell Pudding?

http://www.bakewellpuddingshop.co.uk/

Here's hoping the rain has gone by Friday night, I think you might be lucky!

Thats the right shop indeed... except in Brummy Land we call them Bakewell Tarts... just like we call roundabouts; islands.

I hope it doesn't rain before we pitch else it will be a pain.

Are you popping down to see us?

I think a Bakewell tart is the same through-out the country and the Bakewell pudding is something quite different, and I'm afraid to say despite only living about 10 miles from Bakewell I've never tried the pudding.

I'm hoping to pop along at some point, energy permitting.

No tents there tonight, a great little spot though, watch out for all the pheasants on the road leading to it. Noticed a BB very close by for those not keen on camping, called Mandale BB.

It's all full up.

The Chatsworth Country Fair (hosted by Alan Titchmarsh) has drawn out all of the coffin dodgers to Bakewell and they've gobbled up virtually every flipping room

*** My plants bring all the grannies to the yard, and they're like "It's better than yours... damn right, it's better than yours, I'd prune yours, but I'd have to charge" ***
