Cruising through 30 zone today and in front was a 1996 P-Reg silver Fiesta with dodgy paintwork, scabby alloys & a big square exhaust with rust . The worst thing was that he had an badge on the back! There were 4 chimps in it with baseball caps and the 2 in the back were glaring at me . As we went into 60 zone I heard him drop a gear in readiness but I dropped to 2nd floored it, got past him and disappeared before his revs had built up!!
Further on a new shape black M3 flew past me & the driver was laughing cos he knew he was the fastest geezer and was invincible..... or so he thought.
He pulled up at red lights in overtaking lane alongside an Ariel Atom!!!
M3 man was still laughing and creeping over the line as if he was gonna kick ass but when light went to green . M3 man unleashed the full force of his V8 but the Atom just exploded forwards like nothing I have ever seen, it had disappeared from view before the M3 had hit 60 . It really was a case of Goodbye Mr Bond! I would so love to drive one

I get quite afew people in crap cars thinking they can have a go. I take to many risks though and im cutting down so rarely race them. Its just when the speed limit increases and you floor it and see their car disappear its a great feeling.

Some people are twats though, left a Megane for dead, 20 seconds later he turns up in my rear view mirror going at least 50/60 in a 30 then overtakes me as i wait behind a car and i see the passenger laughing at me.
He then overtakes someone else further up the road, just showing off to his passengers.

its great when you see something like that, but then youve got the real thing.

i was sitting in stonehaven, and a 106 came in with the sticker "sniff my diff" on his rear window.

i just smiled to myself and thought "oh god"

Last night a friends brother was driving me home from town.
Hes got an old shape Fiesta, with blacked out windows and nice exhaust.
We spotted a modified Micra and knew it was some lad who lives near us.
It was black, blacked out windows, big exhaust, nice alloys, best Micra ive ever seen.

We went off a round-a-bout onto a dual carriageway and then afew seconds later the shot past us.. we were both in shock.
My friend wasnt hammering it but still it went past so fast!

We were debating whats the engine etc but i looked on Parkers today and you can get 1.6 engines in them!

The 0-60 is only 1.4 seconds slower than our ST's to!
Quite suprising as you think Micras are slow cars. Dont think it would of beaten my Fiesta though

I almost had the same with a Golf TDI yesterday, driven by some complete bint. I pulled into the overtaking lane at the lights which leads into national speed limit, however the road was still rather wet from the rain and my traction was complete balls, basically span up to 30 in 1st, she kept with me, into 2nd and was with me up until about 45/50 where I pulled away. Was very frustrating because I know if it had been dry I would have gotten away with ease. The thing that got me next though is that she wanted to hump me from behind when we went into the 40. Then at the Hatton park roundabout, for those who know it, the right lane is for going round and the left for straight on, what does she do, pulls into the right lane, then cuts me up to go straight on A few hand gestures and some words rhyming with plucking and heart were said on my part . She then tried to prove her TDI was faster by accelerating hard, however I was in 2nd and she went no where. Then I calmed down and all was well

Yeah its so annoying and embarrassing to.
Are the standard ST tyres poor in the wet?
I had a 2.0 litre Focus next to me at the lights and i got horrible wheel spin and he shot off! Being the same engine and the ligher car i should of hammered him in the dry.

The one that annoys me most is when you hammer a car off a round-a-bout or something and they overtake you 20 seconds later going double the speed limit.

Get that all the time people flying past a few seconds later once you've stopped accelerating, thinking they won

The original rubber is crap in wet and dry, get something new on there

From my experience of having the on P Zeros on a Private road like Silverstone; They are great when its realllly hot, other than that.. pull off slowwwwly, letting your adversary take a short head, then when you get traction, floor it!! The art is not to wheel spin the .

At the end of the day, the is all down to Torque, (MINOR engine mods), and driving skills.
The LOVES our little private 'B' Roads. Just a shame that our Adversaries don't.
