Ahh wicked, cheers. I thought it was more complicated than it actually was when I done it earlier! I've changed mine to a blue LED as well... looks mint! However it seems to stay on (dimmed a lot but still on) when I lock and leave the car!? Does yours do this... if so does it affect the battery?!

haha yeah same I looked at it and at first looked at prising the whole thing off the roof! then realised that the clear part probably comes off - low and behold it did!

thank god that yours stays on as well! I thought that I'd come down tomorrow to a dead battery!

So what bulbs have you fitted? and did you get them from Halfrauds? How much?

This is a mod that i've been meaning to do for ages, but just too lazy, i'm off work tomorrow so may do it.

Lol, when I changed mine a couple of years ago I thought exactly the same. Unfortunately for me I realised about the plastic cover after first attempting to undo the whole thing and knocking the earth wire out. I just cheekily popped into the dealership the next day and said that the interior light had stopped working, so they sorted it for free without me having to fiddle about with it.

I would be worried about the battery going flat? Sounds like a cool mod though, got any pics?

Yes it turns off if you have it on 0. It only stays faintly on if you have the switch in the central position.

I love how clever our cars our because I've left on the two map reading lights loads of times before and locked the car for the night and they go off to save you from running your battery down. Fiesta FTW!

Hey guys, are we talking about the big central bulb here, or the 2 smaller ones each side.

The reason i ask is that i can't get my fingers into the recess to get the small ones out.
