I've seen a thread on here before but cant find it, where it tells ya how to take off the surround of the head unit, 3 tier type.

How many screws are there and is it clipped as well?

I took off 4 screws, couldn't see anymore, but it seem on quite solid still

Any help pp?

Cheers

The middle dial is a bas***d I had a quick gander at the quide, went down to my car (20 floors ) spent 1/2 hour pissing about with it, couldnt get the heater matrix cable off (was baffled for 15 mins) so gave up and put it all back.

I re-looked at the guide again and now see how is done and will sart again at the weekend Theres not much room to get your fingers behind

Can anyone help...

If I remove my stereo and put a new one in will the control stalk be useless or do certain stereos accept them?

its really fiddly! it has a little like ball on the end of the wire, you have to twist it to get it out, once you get it its simple just getting the right movement

I give up! lol I unhooked the wire, but still cant get the thing off, cant seem to get the green bit (that holds the wire) off, just feels like its about to break

I might see how much it'll cost to get it done
