Right then, who uses one and why, is it better than a hand wash or not and why, does it not remove polish and wax, presume you powerwash the stuff off and I always thought any type of hosing or powerwashing will help to remove polish/wax. I guess it's less arm and back breaking though. Exactly what items are required to purchase to set this all up.

That will keep you all busy.

Unfortunately snowfoaming a car does not remove the need to do a bit of back breaking. I use one for my pre-wash. Leave the snowfoam to dwell for about 5 minutes or so, this then works into the dirt and then blast it off with a pressure washer taking most of the loose dirt with it, therefore when you come to wash (two bucket method please ) it will make it slightly easier and also minimise the chances of inflicting damage to the paintwork.

As for removing wax, it really does depend on what was applied, when it was applied and how many layers were applied.

Hope that helps, I do recommend getting one

I karcher'd my car the other week, I work in construction so a handwash every 3 days doesnt really sit well with me.

I have been looking into getting a foaming device. Anyone got experience of this vs the Gilmour Foammaster? Similar price...

I just bought a pressure washer from Argos Steve, reduced to £35! Bargain, it's an RAC one cat number is 740 2498.

you can get one that connects to your hose pipe, prob not as much pressure as my karcher but im sure it does the job. also from clean your car

Having just used it tonight I have found that there is a bottle for detergent so I may save myself £50 on the Gilmour gun if it is any good. Super bargain now at £35 for both! Will have to test the results soon

I think they all tend to be a universal fit Steve. Get the machine if you can, you may not have to buy the Karcher attachment if the detergent applicator is any good. Was surprised it came with one, I will try it out at the weekend hopefully. Machine itself works great
