Just a note to all the people who don't declare their modifications ... the police DO check
My friend with an RS was stopped the other day and had a good look round checking for modifications
Not that he would really be able to tell on an RS and called for back up to have a look
They also asked to remove grills but don't let them do that without a warrant incase they break anything as they won't claim responsibility
The other thing they tried was to get him to jack the car up, but he doesn't have one so they tried to do him for that
Until he explained it contained tyre weld not a spare wheel

Just a note for all you without declaring what you have done

police legally need a reason to stop you in the first place they have no right to just pull you over, i.e no seat belt or not indicating or summat along those lines, otherwise tell em to stuff off

they can just say they are doing a routine stop check. I used to get pulled 2 or 3 times a week in my zs.

They see a young driver and just want to pull over 'just incase'

I've had my car 7 months now and am quite suprised I haven't been pulled over yet, touch wood, unless you count the time a PCSO waved me over and told me to turn my music down

In fact I have only been pulled over by the police once and that was 4 1/2 years ago 2 weeks after passing! The excuse was that I went around a roundabout to fast!

Got pulled over a couple of years ago for having my fog lights on. The copper in his car desided to do a u-turn with tyres smoking to chase me down Anybody would have thought i just robbed a bank! what a KNOB! Apart from that time I never get pulled.
