Posted this question on the STOC and only got a couple of answers and one saying about Chavvy traffic loght races??

maybe its me but I dont really feel the ST is that quick ive had a couple of goes from the lights with others and to be honest wanst that impressed maybe ill have go go deeper inth the tuning thing ive got a K+N 57i, Miltek Flexy, Miltek Back box so ive started in the right direction

What cars have you guys seen off from the lights or on a roll on ???

just trying to guage if its me, everyone who gets in the car thinks its quick???

I think its nice and quick but I had a 1.1l mk 3 fez before

I beat most things from the lights if I want but most ppl dont race from the lights much in my experience, only chavy typres in corsa 1.2's then I just laugh and pull away slowly


And still beat em by miles

standard ST isn't quick to be fair. Many cars now will go under 10 secs and if they get away well then youv'e had it.
Better to use the ST's torque advantage.

ST is a quick car in its own right. It goes round corners very well too!

I had a little go against a Megane 225 (rolling start), upto 80-90mph there is little difference, by 120mph he was only 20 metres in front. Most of the time its all about how much power you can put down at the start.

The ST is quite quick off the mark, just practice getting the revs right and no tyre squeal! Good tyres will help you

I love getting a perfect start! Very little to no wheel spin and whooosh!
Aint done it for a while but now cant drive my car till I book it in for an MOT - a week overdue

how much rpm for best start? around 2000?

I am very interested in 0-60 or qm times for ST with full exhaust, induction and remap/bluefin/dreamscience... I hope 15.5 is possible on 400m

15secs on quarter mile would be a good result on just those mods, think you would need more oomph though to achieve that.

15.5...not 15 its a big difference. car with those mods will have around 170 bhp and about 205 Nm. I think that will be enough for 15.5 ?

15.8 do stock car (my friend) so I think its possible.
