Hi,

Not been on here for a while. My Cossie and ST are still going strong, just need to replace the standard exhaust mounts on the ST because the Mountune exhaust is so heavy it's stretched them and sarted nocking on the back bumper.

Does anyone know what part number the powerflex mounts are for the ST? I think it's a universal one but im not sure...

Interesting.

Maybe start here...

Awaits other Mountuner members' view of having a heavy exhaust system.

I have heard of other "Mountuners" suffering with this but tbh I think most if not all people with aftermarket exhausts get this to some degree. Even mine used to knock on a hanger but that was sorted but lopping off a teeny tiny bit of the hanger lol

just double check the exhaust hasn't moved or any clamps have worked loose, could and I say could just be that the rear box has rolled around a tad and now closer to the bumper.
No problems with mine.

just to add a note here , i would only recommend replacing the two at the back , and not the hole lot , reason being , these mounts are stiff and it will only put extra strain on the manifold and the bolts if the exhaust system cant move with the movement of the engine

good point, also I am not sure whether Mountune used the existing mounts or new MT supplied ones with the kits, I would stick with whatever mountune used, might be the original ford ones.

i think it was 3? one at the front, one at the middle where the cat or resonator is and one for the muffler

is this right?

There is one in the middle, one after the 1st bend before the 2st box, and then one after the 2nd box.

Replace with original mounts if its a standard exhaust, the have probably stretched
I think the aftermarket ones are supposedly too stifff and can cause damage
