As a few of you will know. I have been wondering if to put my into a storage container or cover it over during the bad weather. I looked into the container but it became evident that it would be worse for the car then just leaving it outside.

To come up with a solution as I don't have a garage for it I decided to get a car cover. After looking at a fair few it became difficult to get what I wanted as the web is inconsistant and hard to search for things like this.

I remember my neighbour having a cover for his little MX5 and it constantly flapping around in the wind, clattering the car and the straps banging.

I decided to wait until the MPH Top Gear Live + Classic Car Show at the NEC in Nov to view some companies and get what I wanted.

After looking around I came up across a company called Classic Additions Ltd. A really nice guy named Dean had a chat and showed me the different covers. He explained that the covers are custom made and he knows the Focus well as he was doing an order for the RSOC. After cutting the price from £250 down once... he added me to the order from the RSOC and I got it for the group buy price which was a good chunk lower.

After receiving the cover 2 weeks ago I have cleaned the up and put the cover on... It fits the car perfectly, it is like a matress cover at the bottom and snuggly hugs the car to it's exact shape. There is extra straps that are hid away under the car. Make your own minds up on the cover, it's 100% waterproof, breathable, fits exactly and is the best one i've seen on a car yet.



The company is added to the members area of the site and i can arrange discounts to be made on future orders.

My car will be clean and shiney when it comes out of it's cover on Sunday for the FFST X-mas Event.

worth it I'm sure. What are the guidlines, are you supposed to take it off now and then and let the car/cover breathe and such..............

Only problem with the car cover i had on my RS2000 was that, when it was windy it actually rubbed marks into the paint. I did not know until i removed the cover after winter, so now i dont bother.

If it's well made then I'm sure it will be worth it in protecting your from the elements over the winter.

Sounds like the Hamilton Classic covers which are fleece lined. I had one for my ST but they sold me a cover one size too small for the car and I lost my receipt so I sold it to a friend. It had two straps that locked underneath, elasticated corners for a snug fit under the bumpers, 100% breathable with a fleece lining. I'd love to get one again but seeing as I use the car so often I'd forever be taking it on & off.

Scotty mate mine was not as good quality as yours, so yours will be fine, mine killed me paintwork so had to go. Theres that much wax on the escort should be ok till spring, anyway the car is up for sale due to unseen circumstances.
These things happen, would have sold the ST but Vicky likes it so the SCORT has to go.

Maybe wrap the car in clingfilm first to double protect the paintwork before putting the cover on.

I'm sure someone once told me that he had clingfilmed his car before a show.....Now, who was that. mmmm?
