What sort of fuel reserve does the ST have? i.e. when the dash meter reads 0 miles to empty, how long can you go for until you need to start pushing the car around?

Thanks

Adam

I have only once been down to 0, and then took a drive of about a mile to get some fuel without running dry... not recomended though.

I can safely say you will get about 30 miles. I got stranded in the lake district. And drove 30 miles for petrol. But be aware you have to drive really carefully. And it does make you sweat while you drive. And you listen for a cough for it to die!

I have managed about 20km or so, but it's not a nice experience.

OK guys, thanks for the replies.

I was just wondering because on Friday i went out for my lunch to the nearest filth wagon for an egg, sausage and grease butty - noticed on the meter i had about 8 miles of petrol left so thought nothing of it.

I go back to work and park up ( on a forward tilting incline i might add ) and noticed that upon restarting the engine at 5pm that suddenly ive got 0 miles of petrol left!!

Was a bit of a brown trouser moment trying to get to the services petrol station! Which was over a mile away too.

I've driven to empty on the fuel gague (pre face lift) and when I fill it up I don't get any more than 40 liters in it and just double checked that it has a 45 liter tank so I would have thought roughly another 30 miles but like others have said you do panic a bit, I never like it getting too low.

Mein gott Dan you are braver than I! I think I managed 15-20 miles before I nearly passed out with fear!

i drive to Zero pretty much all the time

1.because im lazy and i cant be botherd to fill up
2. cant be arsed with a full tank of petrol all the time which slows down the car

i can get about 20 miles onut of it when it reads 0 - i dont rev over 3000 rpm and try to not make it a habit though
