hey i just bought my ST and think it sounds pretty damn awesome , however could do with a bit more grunt. So was wondering before i spend £80 on a KnN filter wanted to know if it sounds any different. As i had one on my 1.4 mk6 escort (i know its not quite the same lol) and it didnt sound particually great.

how does it all fit, as i have noticed that the usual spot for the air filter is above the engine, and obviously it doesn't fit in there, where abouts before it does it fit? pictures mite be esaier?

you have to remove all the standard air intake hoses, and both resonator boxes, you can though if you wish leave the standard air box on top of the engine, I wouldn't, take it off, looks better and cleaner lines. Then your K&N simply attaches to the throttle body of which you will have removed the main hose off, the throttle body is the big silver thing you will see when you remove the main hose, on side of engine, if you look at my Cais the filter is underneath. You will need a cold air feed to it also. Plenty of posts on here about fitting it, removing is the hard bit, fitting is the easy bit.

The MT kit perhaps is a bit pricy but is an extensive full kit, filter, re-circ pipe, huge cold air feed pipe, box/lid.
So, when you order just the K&N, don't forget you will need also re-circ pipe or mini K&N oil breather filter, cold feed air pipe too.
