i am new to this site as i have just fitted an engine to my 56 plate zetec s.
i have had a few problems in mounting the ecu as its the last thing i need to sort out however i cant seem to find out where it fits. anyone?
also has anyone had starting problems/hesitations on acceleration and like a hunting problem while crusing?

Yeah everytime mine sees a Saxo, it just wants to go hunt it down!!! Not good!

could someone take a picture of where the ecinu is located and how its secured in. it would be really helpful as my ecu is cable tied to the front pannel and that aint good.

As you look at the engine bay its on the righthandside, riiiight at the front next to the screen wash bottle or headlight just tucked under the slame panel in its own special bracket.

(soooo sorry House but it kinda illustrates it very well...)




See the screen wash reservoir? See the horn infront of it? See that silver edging juuuust to the left? Thats it.

so does that fit on the outside of the chassis leg or the inside. is the bracket bolted to the car? this had about 6 people baffled last night

To remove the control module you have to remove the battery and battery tray, and the module wiring connecter is fitted with a shear bolt that needs drilling out.

the module hasnt been fitted the ecu has a new cover on with normal bolts that i have put in. but i just cant figure how to mount it to the car when the car was a zetec s the ecu went on to the battery tray
