Just purchased a 55 plate Ford Fiesta and loving it! While im trying to get used to the bite on the clutch, ive noticed that if i put too much gas down and dont bring the clutch up quite enough then i get a horrbile whining noise from under the car, anyone got any idea what this could be or experienced it? Also seems to make the noise sometimes when im rolling in traffic in first gear... it could be nothing and me just being paranoid but doesnt sound good

any help would be appreciated

Take it to a garage or dealers and have someone listen to the noise, noises are hard to diagnose unless you can actually hear them.

out of both ib5 type gaerboxes ive had they have both had problems with them. the last was with first gear really difficult to get in in the end both needed new boxes due to scyncros wearing out. might be similar but take it to the garage let them have a look

I sometimes get the same noise from the clutch.
And sometimes the engine feels like its going to jump out of the engine bay.

I have checked engine brackets but cant find the problem

Yeah I've got that at the moment because of all the power. It must be slipping so they better not try and charge you for it when you've JUST got it!

Get them to have a look

Just got back from the garage and it seems to be wheel bearings! They have quoted me £65 per bearing, this about right or am i being ripped off?

How long have you had it? Surely you shouldn't have to pay for it if you hadn't of had it long?
