its quite a bit different matey. all your applications and programs are on the bottom of the screen. ermmmmm the page adjustments (for clicking off boxes) are on the opposite side of the page) it takes a while to get used to but i think theyre amazing and would never go back to windows. all of the programs work with each other too like when i connect my iphone my contacts store with address book, my emails are in sync with everything, calenders update automatically, and my pics store with iphoto!.

good choice

If its a new machine you can have a lesson for free at the local apple shop.

many tricks to learn but very easy to pic up. In October I was a PC took me about a week and i keep finding new things, there will be no going back though

I use macs and PCs every day. I don't think there's a huge difference to be honest. All your common apps like firefox, Word, photoshop, itunes etc look identical on both. It might take a little while to work your way round the basic desktop and options but for every day use your apps will be the same.

Dashboard widgets are neat and learn how to use spaces and you're done.

Depends on the specs, expect to pay at least double for a MAC with the same specs as a Windows laptop.
Had a quick go on Macs and didnt like them and after seeing their prices probs wont ever buy one.

cant you run windows OS side by side with a mac OS? if you have any compatibility problems that should help.

Yes you can, but I didn't find it too reliable when I did it. I bought a Mac, and will stay with them. Does everything Windows can do, but doesn't crash anywhere as much. Saying that, I haven't used Windows 7 yet...

Quick question while this topic is here......when you open a window it doesn't come up in the taskbar but when you minimise it, it comes up there, is there anyway for it always to be there (like on a pc) as i bring up a new page infront of it and then have a few windows open and having to go hunting for the right one.....if that makes any sense

Takes a while to get use to but its wicked

Have a look at the dashboard and expose options. F9 (I think that's the default) will show all the windows on the screen at once and you can just click the one you want to bring to the front.

I think you can add a tab like on a pc. At the top of the page (could be under file or view) and then add tab! And also press the button which shows you all of the pages like what kevin said.

or if using a macbook run 4 fingers in a downwards swipe then all your current apps appear and you click the one you want
