Now if that shifts the massive blob she managed to splash about I'm sure that will get your spot off

Got it in one mate! oops

I had to remove the letters completely because they kept coming off when I was cleaning the car My trademark Bea is no more!
Oh well I might get some letters and 'stick them' NOT glue them on before FITP. But firstly thanks Ayesha I will clean the area with those things before sticking the letters on and make sure it's a smooth surface this time!

Acetone is superglues weakness and brings it off but not sure what it would do to paint.

When I got a bit on my motorbike fitting my heated grips I carefully scraped it away with a very sharp blade then had to polish the area with Autoglem paint restorer then finished off with Autoglem resin polish and it is now not noticeable

You can get superglue removal fluid from Maplins but I dont know if it will damage your paint.

Here's the thing...

Standard normal super glue is water soluble.. It says so on the label if you look carefully..

Not sure if this will work but give it a go... Try boiling water from a kettle.. And then pour it over the glue letting it slowly drip on to it to try and soften it, it then might gently peel off, or you'll be able to rub it off with a soft cloth.

If acetone works as Anthony says, then use it, it wont damage the paint work, and the area can be easily polished afterwards, go grab your mum or girlfriends nail polish remover, as they are usually acetone based, another thing worth trying might be petrol, you might need to leave it on the area for a bit, but I bet it will soften the glue and make it easy to rub off..

Update: Boiling water didn't work because it's been on there too long! oops!

Next: Nail polish remover...

Also here's a Tip: Hairdryers are brilliant to get glue off after decal removing! and also I debadged the 'FIESTA' badge with only the help of a hairdryer! Result!

i did the same thing, i tried acetone and it does work on getting some of it off but if your not careful (i wasnt) you end up with a very smooth area witch doesnt want to come off, i took mine to my mates dads car body shop and they got it off with some very fine sandpaper, gave it a polish afterwards and you wouldnt even know it was there.

I got it off with acetone nail polish remover!
I poured water over the area straight after but thanks for the heads up because I'm going to check for any remaining!
