Okay I have new sideskirts as mine were removed. I don't have official Ford ones, I have fibreglass ones (1/3 the price). They have the 3 hook bits that go under the car for a screw or something to go through.

've read to use an adhesive like Sikaflex or Tigerseal, which I have. So I've just tried to Tigerseal one of them on and it won't stay - the Tigerseal takes ages and ages to set. When they're on without the Tigerseal, they don't move, but with the Tigerseal, they squirm around and drop off if I don't sit there holding them.

In the end I ran out of time and took it off, and wiped the Tigerseal off the car. One problem is that the skirts don't make full contact with the car - only a tiny bit on each end, and along the top (under the door). The rest is basically floating.

So how do I fit these bastards on? Do I have to prop them up somehow with wood or something and just leave them for a few hours to set in place? edit: I just read on a Honda forum to use masking tape to hold them in place... any thoughts on this?

Anyone know how long it takes for the Tigerseal to set?

How much would a bodyshop charge to fit them?

Lots of tape you say... sounds right up my alley.

Also what's the deal with those gun things you put the canister in... you squeeze it and it comes out for like 5 minutes.

P.S. I'll have a spare tube of Tigerseal if anyone needs it... the dude on Amazon put the picture as a tiny tube (like superglue) so I ordered 2, and when it arrived it's a huge canister.

The what now? The metal pole that sticks out the back? Pull that?

(I'm not very adept with glue. I superglued a pen to the floor a few weeks ago while trying to glue my shoes back together lol).

there are 3 mechanisms, the trigger, the release, and the metal 'rod' with a bent end. pushing the trigger will force the metal rod forward. when you want to stop, hold down the release and pull back the metal rod... tadaaa =D

There's 3 holes already in the bottom of the ST, so I think you can get those... pop screw things, although that's what mine were originally stuck on with, and they were able to be half-inched pretty damn easy. I'd suggest a rivet gun (have you played Bioshock 2? That kind).

a bloke at my work has got a lime green vectra with black stripes, and is bumper fell of on the way to work. instead of my suggestion of leave it off and get some tigerseal and some propper fixings he decided to use black silicon and self tapping screws for wood. YES SELF TAPPERS
its stayed on but looks a right royal F... UP.

I have some security screws... what fixings would you recommend for underneath?

i personaly would of thought tigerseal would provide plenty of stick for side skirts. maybe you are using too much and that is why it is sliding about. if you put a full but not too thick covering on, it should stay with tape. if fixings were required they should have come with them
