Ford Fiesta Mk6 LED Rear Lights - Fitting Problems

I recently purchased some rear LED lights for my Mk6 Fiesta.
My fiesta is a 2006 GTR Special edition model, but a non - facelift, and the lights I purchased were for pre - facelift cars, so this was all fine.
The unit fits in fine and the brake light + indicators work correctly, however the reverse light comes on in red. There is a clear section on the new lights that I assume may be the reverse light but that doesnt come on, the bottom red light comes on when you put the car in reverse.
I need to have a clear / white reverse light.
Around the back of the new light unit, there is one cable which is not connected, but all the sockets are full with cables and theres no room for this additional cable.
I was wondering, if this additional cable may be the reverse bulb light and if i disconnected the red light and connected this new one that it may work?
Or if anyone else has any other suggestions as to how i can get the clear reverse bulb working, that would be great.
Thanks,
Ben

Sounds like something is amiss. Try using a multimeter and somebody else to activate all the lights whilst you identify which is which. If you know how to use a multimeter it should be straight forward, you are looking for which lights are 12v.
First identify the reverse cable/socket and see where it leads.
Are these red lights the rear fog light? Or are the new LED lights giving you the option to swap a fog light for a reverse light? Some investigation needed I think.
A certain way round it would be to re-wire the reverse lamps using scotch blocks, its fairly easy to do but it looks butchered!

I have now managed to fix the lights.
I think they were meant for a LHD and i had to pull out a wire and insert a new one so the right functions came on
Because before that, when the car was put in reverse, the fog light came on, and when the fog light was put on, the reverse light came on
Its all sorted now though.
Alex H + Kaxe, The Silver fiesta GTR pics posted on here is not the same as mine, that is a facelift one and is slightly different, I prefer the pre facelift model.
Lets be honest though, its not some real pikey modded up car like some you see around and for a 17 year old i think its a very nice car. I dont know any other 17 years olds with a nicely modded car.
I wouldnt say its anything over the top.
I had never heard of the GTR edition either until i came across mine. I have never seen another GTr on the roads in over 1 year of having mine.
I think in black it looks way nicer than the silver model.
Come on guys dont be too harsh here about the little motor!
Im into modifying, but modifying doesnt always mean chav!
Good news on the lights bud
I like ur motor, especially the wheels. Keep us updated!

Cheers Kaxe!
No worries dude I like it. It just sounded like my post was a dig at GTR drivers but I do wish they would of fitted a K&N in them aswell so the 'GTR' meant something a bit more!
Keep it up!

Ah ok, one of my mates was trying to persuade me to grind it down Not into the GTR tbh, exhaust and spoiler are a bit OTT, apart from that its pretty nice Is it just styling changes on them?

I think a third party company made a few of the GTR kits and sold them with the fiestas. I think for people who cant afford the Zetec-S or ST it is a good buy.
I have the same LED lights as you do and trust me, they can be a right pain in the arse but the look great at night!

Ye, the Zetec S and ST's i could afford the physical car, but i couldnt afford the insurance on them , its just way too much as im only 17.
I pay 1500 for mine as it is.
Insurance is a nightmare for people just passing their test, my partner drives the ST and it costs us £225 fully comp, i want her on her own insurance so bought her a ford ka paying £265 tpft, went to get her a sport ka and her insurance company won't insure it till she has 2 years ncd, mad, she's 30 years old and been driving for 4 years and also done her pass plus.
