all mk6 fiesta can suffer from suspension springs snapping. unfortunate. seen it on a 52 plate at around 30k and a 07 at 13k! both driven by mature drivers.

egr on pre-facelift? can i remove this then?

None of them should have an EGR valve?
That's a weird one.

Yehhh mine does lol. I'm telling ya Dave... special secret agent test mule. My friend swears it has a facelift wiring loom too although how the hell you can tell that is anyone's guess.. oh and apparently the ECU on my ST was a different shape to the one on his ST (built & registered around the same time).

In all seriousness though apparently the prefacelift engines have them and facelift (or possibly just the later built ones) dont.

It's possible to have "line-trial" cars and that's what you probably have.

They'll build 20 or 100 cars with a different spec part and see what warranty issues they get etc etc.

According to the tech specs, the difference from the Mondeo to ST150 spec is/was deletion of EGR valve, deletion of swirl tubes in the intake manifold and coil pack and HT leads on ST150 ilo coil on plugs for Mondeo.

Shouldn't you always change spring with cams anyway?

no i didn't thing so and i asked kent when i got the cams and he even said that the standard valve springs and buckets are fine to be run with the uprated cams! plus im sure if you get cams fitted by e.g pumaspeed/pumabuild or even jamsport they would just change the camshafts over.
I have even rang kent on this mater again on thursday and they only suggest fitting new valve springs if you are running high rpm alot and compation cams where the lift of the cam is alot more than standard

sorry for boring everybody with this long blar blar blar
