I need two fronts, Ford can get me Yoko Parada@£89 each, but I don't like the look of the tread and haven't heard to many reviews about them. PZeros again will be £110each but I don't want these rock hard jobbies again although 3years use is very good !

My top two choices based on reviews and feedback are Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 (site does not list 205/40/R17) and Toyo Proxes T1-R.
So where the cheapest place and any other options ASAP !

anybody know what this means and why do I have a zero ?

I thought it was tread depth....and so 0 tread

t1r i can rate very good at the price the grip is great but the tyres do wear quicker because off this, as for price i payed £190 for 2 at a local place.

Ive had Toyo T1R's on mine for about 2 year's now, and definately no problems.
depending on the roads you drive on, road noise can sometimes be annoying.
as far as I can remember I think I got them for £65-£70 a corner from my local garage, try small local garages for more competative prices.

Toyo looking favourites, and they look great too.
Adam think your right, looks even wear to me apart from the zero but would that be expected for o/s ?

Think I paid between £60 and £65 for Toyo T1r.

I really did like the Avon ZZ3s, in fact I preferred them in the wet to the Toyos on balance. Again same price for fitted tyres.

I got some Uniroyal Rainsport 2 - not the easiest to get but i sure as hell won't be changing from them, unbelievable wet grip - and dry performance superb also.

What's the road noise like with the Rainsport?

I'll be needing some new tyres in the nearish future

thanks Alex, bit pricy though, fitting is free hence the high price, I do like those Bridgestone RE050 depsite the £124 price, top tyre indeed, has a rim guard to protect from damage

How much are you gonna get charged for fitting tho Steve? Might work out cheaper in the long run.

I had to phone about 10 places last time before I found a place to fit tyre that I provide, others I had to buy from then 1st. Ended up paying £15 a wheel

actually didn't ask, but Ford will do it for me and I kind of get looked after pretty well, even if a bit pricy I don't mind, only two miles away and I can just pop in and they do jobs for me while I wait, never a problem.
