Guessing the link below is the tyres you bought Steve? just making sure before i buy them as they have a different name, but seem to be the only Toyo ones on the Fiesta size Alex.

Toyo Proxes

no, those above are a different model, don't know anything about them, the correct ones are Toyo Proxes T1R see here http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m54b0s13p1680

Those above are PX4's.

Tyres, these days are all made for overall performance, safety and grip hence they do not last as long, even moreso if you go for performance tyres. In the old days you might get 20-30,000 out of tyres, but now seems 12months or more is the norm. My PZero (fronts) lasted three years which is amazing but I don't drive hard especially corners and roundabouts which is where you do all the damage but having said that I only got 13,900 miles out of them and by comparison sounds bad, for an average driver that would be one years miles perhaps. My rear PZero still look new and probably go on for another year, I guess good quality tyres with grip on the front and harder ones on rear might be the way to go.

Cheers glad i didnt buy them.
Cant find those on the tyre shopper site for the fiesta even though its listed as a tyre in other sizes, might have to email them or something see what they say.
Did you buy yours from camskill then and take them to a garage to be fitted?

Where did you get them fitted? Ive always thought Quikfit but my friend said they dont really treat cars well there, including driving them around? and my dads alloy got ruined by them, but they did replace it.

I bought them from a back street garage but no way was letting him fit them, I want my car properly jacked up and supported and fitted/balanced by the latest equipment. So, my top local Ford garage did it for me and what says it all was, the service manager said sorry for delay will be ready in a few minutes, just washing off all the greasy stuff they use on the rims to fit them, so my car came out with clean tyres and wheels and no white gunk slimy stuff all over the edges.

Toyo Proxes

Those only have a 3/5 ratting on that site, I'm prob gonna go for the avon zv3's next 5/5 and not a bad price plus they look a bit like my yokos

You might be able to get them cheaper elsewhere but you have to factor in postage (if bought on-line) and fitting cost, unless you can get them done free like Steve

Camskill £59.95 & £2.49 P&P per tyre. Reason I didn't get them fom here is they did not get back to me when I sent an email for a stock request AND i needed them urgently, if your not in a rush then you won't find tyres any cheaper anywhere, rumour has it camskill order so many and sell so many they only make 50p profit per tyre

Bought the Toyo T1R's from Camskill, just waiting for them to arrive and then have to get them fitted.
How do you know tyres are legit and new, do they have symbols on them?

Was thinking the P Zeroes will be better in the summer so was thinking of leaving them on till August, leaving the Toyo's off wont cause them any damage will they?

Nothing fancy for me. I just pop down to ATS, get the boys to fit some Michelins all around and I swear they are the best tyres ever... never ever lost grip even in wet flooring it supercharged!

After about 8 months I swop the front ones to the back and the back to the front and continue the fun!

Anyone who has had the Toyo T1R's how many miles do they last?

Got the standard PZeros on at the minute and they have only lasted 9500 miles which isnt great in my opinion and they are un-usable in the snow.

Are they really that bad in the snow?

Care to elaborate Alex lol?

My dads just said he has never heard of Toyo or the camskill site and reckons they wont even be new tyres lol

Yes, were for me anyway, once had to get three people to push me up a slight incline when it was snowy.
Also got stranded between two hills and had to abandon my car.

Even in 2nd gear, slightest acceleration just span the wheels. My dad even tried and he used to live in Scotland and drive in snow most years and he couldnt drive it either.
