Hi Fezzy, Direct line is always expensive when I try them, Im 23 with 5 years no claims and mines £469 a year with elephant, why not do a quick quote online. Just to see what they come up with would be interesting!, thats a hell of a difference for a years no claims etc...

Alot of the companies on tv etc are talking out of their Arses I really hate the ones that say "we'll check 20,000 insurance companies for you at once" They Never come up with good prices! There cheapest one is stupidly high then they get even higher!

Very strange, just tried Elephant, I've got exact same details as you (age, 5yrs no claims etc) quoted £936.60
The quote will also be based on location. Depends on how they risk assess your area.
