Just a quick debate guys.

After seeing the prices of the Fiesta ST im turning less and less hopeful of the Fezzie retailing around my 16k price range mark. If this is the case i will buy a Used Focus RS for this price and what does everyone think the prices will be this time next summer?
Have talked to dad about this and he also agrees the Focus would be a better option but whats everyone elses views?

I suspect the Fiesta RS will be a better car than the Focus RS in most ways. Have to see what the spec is, but it's got a good chance of being a great car. Small dimmensions, but with a nice wide track (weight is nearer the centre) and plenty of rubber in each corner and less weight is all good news.

As for your question, the Focus RS is unlikely to plummet. I expect next year you will be able to pick up a high mileage 52 plate for £15k but the cars on more acceptable mileage will still fetch between £17k and £20k depending what plate they're on. The late 53 and 04 registered cars could still be fetching £20k next year if their mileage is good.

Hey guys, could you tell me what the price of the Focus RS was when new? I'd like to do a price comparison with the exchange rate to see what the price would have been localy so I can get an estimate of what the Fiesta RS would most likely sell for in this area. Just a thumb suck.

Man, you guys are not going to believe this. Because it isn't a standard import model the Focus RS is available for R400 000 in SA (that's £44 660). That means I'd never be able to buy a Fiesta RS. If I'm lucky I'd be able to afford a bloody ST.

This really sucks

Well buy one in the UK off a dealer and then all u have to do it when its ready. Fly over, Pick it up and then drive it back to what ever country u live in and once ur over the 1000mile barrier u can have real fun on the way home

Obviously aslong as ur not 2 far away.

Actually, it was £20,095 for most of the time whilst it was being produced.
