Hey all, Just registered, I have been eyeing up the ST for quite sometime now and I am very close to buying. The ST I am looking at is this one ST AutotraderI've had a look at it and it seems good as new with 11,000 miles on the clock. Just want to hear your opinions on it, if it would be better getting a cheaper older one with some more miles on the clock ( but I like the idea of having a newish car to burn the miles in myself!) The dealers cars come from Ford Credit and is currently SORN also. So any suggestions / feedback would be grateful.

Mine has all that, same colour and everything, except it's 57 plate, full leather seas and 17k miles, with a k&n air filter and mine was advertised for sale a lot cheaper than that bad boy!

Thanks guys will take it for a test drive and see how she fairs.
wtfrage360 I guess that's because of it being a 2007 it would be quite a bit cheaper, hopefully i'll be able to bring the price down further though when I go to buy it!

That one is like 3 months newer than mine, and less extras. Seems a bit pricey or I've been advertising mine too cheap.. lol

hi kraven, i too am about to buy an ST and in my fusiness, i waited for a car with the Sony premium system, rather than without. I'd have guessed that this system would have cost a fair bit more as an option when the car was brand new. Therefor it's not unreasonable to state two similarly priced cars of same age/mileage/trim etc should have a difference since you would have paid more for that system (even if that was the only difference).

If you have the Sony CD player in the ST you can't have the multichanger, am I correct thinking that?

Thought so, I have the multichanger, I preferred the look of the original anyway and wasn't too much for the sony one.

horses for courses - it's up to you really. there are pro's and con'swith this choice. for me i just like the fact that the sony system had that piano black finish, and also that the cd/radio was labelled "SONY", so it looks quality and probably performs just like all the other Sony products that i own. yes i believe the cd multichanger may well swing it for you in terms of practability, but for me it's not really a problem to chang ethe cd when i get fed up of it. each tot heir own i guess.
Another thought too was in terms of future planning; if you're considering doing any alterations to the interior of the car such as facia surrounds etc on the dash/cd area, the choice of system might affect the look. For me the piano black Sony system would look really nice against a piano black facia surround, or indeed a carbon fibre effect facia surround.

Ah okay thanks guys, the Sony one definitely looks nicer to me. But isn't a big issue.

Hey guys,
Picked up the car. Loving it, very fast and handles like a dream, one thing i've noticed and not sure if this is normal. The wheel feels like it tries to correct itself as I'm driving which is fine for example turning left it will try go back to straight position but when I slow down to a traffic light I notice that sometimes the wheel will start moving to the right which feels a bit odd, is there some kind of stabilising system?
The car has a year warranty left on it so its no problem to get it looked at + 3 months from dealer I bought it from.

Mine's never done that... Get it booked in and checked under warranty, may as well use the warranty you have mate!
How much did you end up getting the price down to?
