If this is the Pumaspeed 182 kit would the 190 kit not be quite a bit quicker than the MT185?

... thoughts?

PS claim 6.8 so yes by .3secs, I don't think 5bhp would give this though, test day for that must have been spot on, wind, perfect take off and gear changes, low fuel tank too. The Youtube race is a bit fishy if there is only 5bhp between them both epsecially when the PS car had an extra passenger and still kept ahead of the MT car, quite possible to put that down to the start and gear changes too, how much fuel were the cars carrying, was the PS a DecCat version----we will never know.

Cheers Steve. I suppose there are so many factors affecting this 'test' that I shouldn't be making decisions based on it.

Update if anyone is interested...

MT have quoted me £1899 all done. Greenlight have quoted £739 for the whole thing (currently paying £708 no mods), going to call Dave from MT tommorow to arrange a date. Sacked off the idea of coilovers (I drive a lot and work in construction so going for the 4rd approved Eibachs)

I looked at JamSport and the price of the bits alone came to £1800, fair play, sound like a quality group of lads/ladies but thinking of better resale with Mountune. Even contemplated supercharging thanks to Kaxe but I drive my car too much for that and TBH I'm saving for a deposit on a house.

Thoughts and comments?

PS: Would it be cheeky to ask them to fit the Eibach's for free?

haha I tell everyone to Supercharge but I even agree with you matey you do a lot of motorway driving so mountune will be better on the fuel but supercharging will be better for beating the BMW M3's on the motorway hehe

notice the Pumaspeed fited price is about same as mountune, so much for MT being so called expensive .

Nice one, the MT kits do drive nicely, so smooth, the 185 will be a bit lumpy on start up and you will have to catch the revs a bit more when slowing and starting but soon get used to that.
If you do a lot of driving I would say no to Eibachs only on the basis that our crap roads will result in lots of hard "bangs", leave it and get Bilstein, just ask Andrew above about them.
Great, book it in and hurry up, we can't wait.

Had a wee bit of a play with a new Leon FR last night on motorway, uumm it had a lot of pull, smart looking car, bright yellow just had to show him my yellow badge on back

I thought about the trade-offs and although I cant appreciate the extent of them without actually driving the thing, I still think it won't really bother me, I change gears like I have OCD anyway. My only concern is not being able to put it in 5th at 40.

I drive bare mileage and to save money I eco drive at 50-60mph quite a lot on this single lane carriageway, sometimes even do 70mph on motorways as opposed to 80-90mph on private land. I read somewhere it may even increase economy at points but I'm not inclined to believe it!

When I say 5th at 40mph I don't mean to pull away, I just mean to roll around... will be looking forward to popping it in 2nd anyway should a hill appear.
