RE: the Eibach's, spoke to a mate of mine who is a Clio 182 cup driver and he informed me that allthough the springs can get crashy, with coilovers I will feel every bump in the road.

Considering at work I have to drive over stuff (construction) I can't really be bothered with the bumpiness. Also road bumps, if I have to tell my project manager I can't go somewhere due to my car I will feel like an idiot.

Apparently with Eibachs i'll be ok.

Yeah I had the same worries mate as lowering my car was one of the last mods I did because I was worried about speedbumps but when lowered you're still miles away from them mate! Better handling just a bit more of a bumpy ride...

I thought about the trade-offs and although I cant appreciate the extent of them without actually driving the thing, I still think it won't really bother me, I change gears like I have OCD anyway. My only concern is not being able to put it in 5th at 40.

I drive bare mileage and to save money I eco drive at 50-60mph quite a lot on this single lane carriageway, sometimes even do 70mph on motorways as opposed to 80-90mph on private land. I read somewhere it may even increase economy at points but I'm not inclined to believe it!

it will drive at 40mph in 5th easily, if you don't mind changing gears then the tiny loss of torque won't be an issue. Up and running is where is really is on song, will have plenty of acceleration at those speeds, drop it to 4th and will fly.
MPG is arguably better erally depends on how you drive, rev it and won't be good, I just got 38mpg over 300 mile drive and possible to better that if yor eco driving.
