Ford seem to be supplying them with stingey amounts of oil + they do use a bit for the wearing in period. Just top it up.
Are you taking it in for a courtesy check at 1500 miles/ 3 months??
If you are the dealership can check if there is anything wrong.

What shall I top it up with, im no good with all this I have Castrol GTX at home? The dealer said he would call me around December for a check up, but in 1 and a half months i've already done 1200 miles, so I think I need to book in soon.

Its 5w-30 oil my dealership uses semi-synthetic oil.
You can pretty much booked the courtesy check when you want.
worth doing though.

That's really strange. I've now done nearly 6000 miles and I have never had to top it up. It has not used ANY of it. I'm not planning on changing it any sooner than Ford recommends either. Dealer told me to just bring it in at 12000 or after one year, whichever deadline occurred first. Looks like the yearly deadline will be the one.

Mine went through a period of guzzling oil so I popped a flattened cardboard box under the wheels and nothing came out. It seems to have stopped doing it tho. Odd.She is going in for an oil change though because I have hit 8,300+ miles with Santa Pod.

to every one i defo recomend changing the oil after 3000 miles after the cars bedded in! it's tru it runs quite a bit smoother and quieter as haynes says there is a huge amount of wear as the engine beds in so the sooner you get all that rubish out the better. if you change it when ford recomends that means you will have all the gunk from the bedding in period still floating around in the engine for 12,000 miles uh! i dont think so not in my !!!
