Doh, they've used a wrong corner at silverstone. At chapel they've used the tighter motoGP corner and not the more open F1 track version.

Well my copy arrived yesterday from shopto – firstly what a service from them – never used them before but arrived two day before released and almost a tenner cheaper than in the shops!

Anyway onto the game – first impressions are it is quality!! Very hard in places (but then again I am pretty rubbish at driving games anyway full stop). But I played a good solid 3 hours on it last night – time just flys by after you have completed practice, then qualifying and then the main race. I was a little disappointed that the qualifying isn’t split up into Q1 and Q2 etc, just one long qualifying session but still good.

The setting up of the car – jesus you can go into detail on that, but to be honest I haven’t a clue so just let my “engineer” do it. I have to say it is very frustrating at times, the amount of swearing that must have come from the room where I was playing this last night must have been quite often . I need to have a mess about with the damage settings as I think mine is set to mild as I absolutely careered into the back of Kubica and no damage to either car, yet I did get a 10 second time penalty. There later on at a bend he spun me off!!!

At the moment I have it set to everything on bar the assisted braking (as with this on you may as well just steer and hold down accelerate), but there are levels for everyone in there from beginners to absolute pro’s – I officially love it so far and am determined to master it – Also the fact the press actually shout your name for an interview is a nice touch!

Quali is in 3 parts mate, make sure u are doing the full weekend not the short one

It runs exactly as it does in real life bud

You dont have to do all 3 practice sessions, do a few laps, click on the screen in front of u in the car and speed the time up x30 then see ur engineer and go to quali 1 (top 17 go thru) quali 2 (top 10 go thru) quali 3 (top 10 shoot out)

I just got my first points for Lotus. Finished 9th (2 points) in Turkey, the sense of achievement is great!!!

I had a nice upgrade package for Turkey which really helped the levels of mechanical grip

I've done a couple of time trial laps at spa in the wet and brazil in the dry and I did a 20% race at monza. Finished 23rd cos Massa DNF'd. I managed a 1.29.3

I think the wheel control needs more customising but you can't do it. It's a little slow on the lock for me.

Physics model isn't too bad. I've spun a few times (I've got it all on hard) and I need to find out how to turn off the penalties. I must have done about 8 laps at Brazil before one counted!

There's too much of a lag when changing up and i don't quite feel like I'm in contact with the tarmac but I'll get used to it.

So not bad so far.

I think mine is bugged... Or Senna is a real gift from god to be able to lap everyone on a 12 lap race in Melbourne...
Or how about Buemi winning the Malaysian GP...
