You must be the only one mate

Are u not getting on with it coz it's difficult??

Set every assist on and AI to easy and see how you go, its not a pick up and win type of game, it takes time to get used to and through the season you get updates for ur car which really do make it much nicer to drive.

Its about realism this one

I did my first race last night in my career.

I chose Virgin Racing and 10% distances just for a try out.

In my praccy races I've been off the back of the grid by a second or so so I dropped the AI a notch (i think to medium I'm not sure) and promptly put the car on the front row (2.02) just behind Alonso for the first race at Bahrain.

I got too much power on out of the first corner and span it managing to rejoin in 16th. I pitted for options on lap 6 and managed to finish in 3rd. I can't remember who said originally but the AI are piss slow in the middle twiddly bit at that track. I took someone on every single lap up the hill to the tight left hander (about T4 or 5).

So I can't decide if I should restart and put the AI up a notch again or carry on. I might just do praccy at Melbourne and see how it looks. If I'm easily top 10 I think I'll start again.

Oh and during praccy I went off at one point and lost my front wing. I decided to drive back to see what the physics were like. They don't work!

I stayed out for another 3 laps and actually went faster so losing your nose doesn't make you understeer like a loony, as it should. It's purely cosmetic.

If ur putting a Virgin on the front row then its too easy, im in a Lotus and it should be a massive achievement to get into Q2 let alone Q3

Depends what you want from the game i guess.

The beginning of my career was seriously tough in the Lotus

Was it completely gone (red) or just yellow? Because when it's completely gone the car does handle way worse imo...

I had no wing at all.
I'd forgotten where I was on the lap, missed my braking point and ploughed head long in to a wall at 100mph and lost the lot.

Maybe it's (another) bug.

Just been racing online for 5 or 6 races using "SPRINT" mode

Basically, random cars, random track, random grid, 3 lap races in dry conditions

After a few twats had been and gone we had 6-8 clean racers in the room and had some cracking racing:

2x wins
3x 2nds
1x 3rd

Really good fun
