Well it's a good job I hadn't got too far in. I just got the corrupt game data bug and it lost my progress and my profile.

I'll update this tomo when im on my comp but the corrupted saved bug is to do with doing an R&D then not going into a quali session straight away.

Do ur R&D and go straight to quali, dont go back to paddock

I didn't do any R&D.
I finished the race last night and quit. Started it up tonight for another one and it bombed straight away with a corrupt data message.

Hi everyone, I'm updating this thread with a potential workaround:

I can confirm that this issue is with development, will be addressed in the patch, and we'd like you to try the following workaround:

After a practice session where you complete an R&D objective and unlock a new upgrade make sure you then load in to the following qualifying session before exiting the game.

And also, as our technical support FAQ now says:

We believe this only occurs if, after completing an R&D objective, you...
- Retire to the paddock via the Engineer (in the garage).
- Terminally damage your car and select retire to paddock.
- Get disqualified and select retire to paddock.

As long as you progress to the qualifying session before quitting the game this problem will not occur.

Please do let me know if it still happens when doing this workaround, that'd be very useful information!

Yeah I'm pretty sure it affects all of them.

That topic also mentions how to work around it on the 360/PS3.

First season done on 20% distance, i absolutely love this game

Finished 7th in drivers and constructors which is about right, i have it set really tough and the sense of achievement in my Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious is just great

Thats a fair point but a couple of tracks im particularly strong at (Spa, Montreal, Monza & Abu Dhabi) so scored well there

I'm only about 4 races in using a full weekend and 30%. Normally I'll go nuts on a new game and complete it far too quickly so I'm pacing my self with this

I won my home GP at Spa

Had a 10 sec lead over Hamilton when it started to rain a little in the last 2 laps, but managed to keep the car on the track
