Turbocharging a Fiesta ST...

Hi guys,
I am starting to get together some cash so that i can turbo my car. I have unfortunitely heard that the is a problem with the conrods on the ST's as they seem to be very weak, but i have ye to see someone or hear it from someone that has actually turbo'd there car. Here in S.A i have, and yes you can laugh, only heard of one guy that has done it but spent a fortune and he does not reply to messages so i am out of luck there.
There are a few things that i wanted to know, like if i were to run the turbo with the stock internals, boosting low, .4b maybe .5b with 550c injectors would it work without blowing the motor? Also, does anyone know of conrods that i could us, stronger ones? I was thinking about the mazda mps rods, but no one can tell me the length of them even though the stroke is out a bit, the length matters more..
If anyone has any imput for me it would be much appreciated. Thanks all.

strip the whole lot out.. then fit 2 hybusa turbo engines - one in front one in back! then u have something which will be 4wd and engines which are pushing out a lot and 0-60 will be like 3 secs lol! cost however and finding someone to do that... maybe more difficult. but a suggestion lol
2.6 twin turbo 4x4!! Fooking hell!!
