car been booked for 2nd service next wkend £159 (not to bad i thought) but extra £48 to renew brake fluid !! seems a bit steep,should i bother ? car only got 12k on the clock,opinions please

wouldnt bother yet mate mines only got 12,000 on the clock and never done mine.

i had my second service done. ford said brake and power steering fluid should be replaced and added that they usually do so every 2 services.

oh they love the money all right. The quote for an hour's work was some 40Euro ...some 33 for you out there.

i thought that was expensive to ask for. however i think they exaggerate on the hours then. It took ME 5 hours to install the power button. Would have taken them 2 hrs at max knowing what they were doing. they wanted a 5hr job pay ...

To give u an idea, an hours labour at a Honda dealer for my bike is £60 inc VAT

most places seem to be £50+ ph labour now,not going to bother with the brake fluid will do it next time
