Thought it would be a good idea to build up some pictures of lowered ST's so people can see what kind of drop to expect I can't decide yet so this will be a great help.

So....

Picture

I likes the look of 45mm!

Any problems over speed bumps?

Did you just replace springs or shocks as well?

The 35's are a safe choice, I've taken a small risk with these. If you are not careful the shocks can bottom out and this will eventually break them. Saying that, I've only had it happen once over about 5000 miles and if you know the roads it's not really a problem.
No problems at all with speed bumps, you just have to take your time All I've changed are the springs, the standard shocks seem to be coping fine. The ride on them is supreme, so much better than standard and there is virtually no body roll. I love them

I like risk

I had my MK2 punto lowered 50mm on standard shocks and used to ahve to slow down over speed bumps!

Where did you buy your springs ebay?

It's the springs for the 1.6tdi that you want, not the one's for the . The JH1/JD3 has some reference to the model of the car, and it can be found on the VIN if I remember correctly...

I asked because it uses that 'reference' on FK for badgeless grilles:

Ah right fair enough, I can't really remember what it tells you or what it means, but I'm sure it's part of the VIN number if you want to make sure it's correct for your car
