I am selling my wifes ST, lovely motor, great price and not getting calls from places like autotrader, piston heads any ideas as to why ? Any advice, the wife is pregnant so have picked up a 1 series (4-door). Now need to sell the ST, lovely car just not right to be driving around heavily pregnant or with a little one. I now have it up for £6,750 to sell quick, Black, 2007 (57) we got it from new, 34K on clock, lots of extras. Any ideas ???????

They just aren't selling at the moment mate, seem similar posts elsewhere. People have lowered their price by over 2k and still no interest. Good luck though mate, and if I was in the market for another I'd snap up that bargain off you

Just had a look and think you need to consider dropping the price
Plenty of 07 plate cars with less miles for £5500-6500

Cheers, seems crazy under price immaculate motor (wife just drives to work and back daily) and have not had a single call. I thought it would fly, dont really need to have an extra car sitting on the drive when we pick the other up next week. I am driving it at the moment while she is in my golf 2.0FSi until we pick up the 1 series which is fun. Popped into a ford dealer today he said he cant shift the two on the forecourt so wont buy anymore unless a trade in. Think at this price cant really drop it any more as would be just giving it away. Although if someone turned up with £6,500 cash I would have to think seriously about it.

I have been looking they range from £7,000 - £9K (trade), not seen any decent ones for the money you are talking about. This is a mint one the wife has had since new. The ford dealer said he expects I would get £7-£7.5k private sale that dont look likely though at the moment.

Have another look mate, your obviously over looking alot of cars

If they are selling 7-9k trade then knock a grand off and you've got the right price
You won't sell it for what a dealer would

Its slow for the trade at the moment because people have been on holidays and the kids are off school they have had other things to spend money on, it will pick up after the holidays so i have been told, i have just picked up a seat leon 1.8 20 valve se 2001 plate for not a lot of money, infact it was less than trade for my dad to sell on.

Just reduced it to £6,300 to see if this shifts it, is a shame as a lovely car and seems so cheap. Someone will get a fantastic motor for a fantastic price.

It is a shame EddieKel. I bought mine for around £7250 six months ago almost. Someone mentioned on here the other day that prices had fallen around by at least £800. My other half valued my on a website the other day and it valued at £6000, despite having a low mileage etc. I'm just glad I have no intention to sell mine. Are you just selling the because it's a 3-door or do you need to get some money back? Because I ferry my mates and their young children around in the quite easily, fitting in a buggy and all the necessities. I intend to keep my when I have a baby.
