Has anyone ever tried to see how far they can get when the fuel guage has no more bars (Mk6)?
Every time I fill my tank from apparently zero I get 37 liters approx from the pump. The Fiesta is meant to have a capacity of 44 liters. I don't think I'm gonna have 7 liters of fuel left but I hope when I'm filling that I don't have 7 liters of air in the tank either. Anyone any ideas how much fuel i'm gonna have in my tank?

I Cant remember how much from 1 bar, but IIRC the fuel warning light comes on when down to that.

Once the fuel warning light comes on you have 50 miles to empty.

The pre facelift model has a digital fuel metre and the facelift has the analogue dial.

Yeah, I would prefer a dial tho, coz you look down and see all bars and think great, full tank, next second a bar has gone

i would prefer the digital to be honest, its horrible driving and seeing your fuel gauge has moved a tiny bit every 10 minutes!

when the needle gets to the red line on the empty part of the dial does that mean 100% that its empty or that theres a lil bit left coz my dial has never gone into the red even when i've only got 25 miles left in the tank according to the computer

I prefer a dial - bars can suddenly disappear without warning! I personally don't like running mine down below around 20 miles.

Saying that, if Top Gear is anything to go by there is still probably 100 miles or so left even when it says 0!
