This is a very useful kit that i use regularly, thought i would post it up as its now dirt cheap!!

That is cheap, i use this one, Halfords Advanced Professional 150 piece Socket/Ratchet Set, and it is only £100 now. If anything has ever broke they have replaced it without question, and it gets some stick, had it for around 4 years.

halfords pro and snap-on are pretty much the same tool and gaurentee. but what they dont tell you about the LIFETIME GUARANTEE is that once the product is discontinued, you have to pay the extra to the next model up for a replacement. found this out with my snap-on cordless impact driver when i dropped it.

really my snap-on trader gave me the next model up when my easy bleed line nipple broke off, £10 diff in price.

snap-on is 1000000000x better than halfords pro!

I broke my halfords 3/8 to something else adaptor the other day....just sheared straight off

the reason halfords are cheap is because thats how they are made a tool set which cost you £99 will cost them £20 so to offer a LTG is easy sales pitch for them but as for snap-on there tools cost alot because there just better in everyway and for them to give a LTG is because there tools don't break that often.

I can understand like my cousin who runs a garage and buys snap on and blue point tools spending loads, but for me at home the Halfords gear has done everything it needs to do, and snap on gear does break as my cousin has had it break on him a few times. I wonder what a snap on spanner costs to make and then what the mark up is on that.
