SarahM Site Supporter Registered: 11/08/08 Posts: 369 Loc: Nuneaton, UK	Hi All, I have been racking my brains as to what we could do this year to make the Christmas meet a little different from last year. So far I have come up with having a night out with a meal at Hall Green Dogs. It will be fun and can have a bit of a win (fingers crossed ) For the hardcore we could have a night out clubbing on the Saturday night. No getting me to try dodgy drinks this year...yes I am talking about you Adam and Dan This is open for discussion to get some new ideas etc. Happy posting

Unforunately I think I'd only be able to make it the second weekend in December as previously planned. Going to the dogs in Sheffield followed by a night out in Manchester came out tops in the poll, however as pointed out it would be more practical to do both in Manchester, therefore I propose we go for this on one of the first two Saturdays in December. As per my post above, I would much prefer it was on the second Saturday, but if I have to miss out this year in order for the meet to go ahead then so be it. We can then go for a 2for1 pub meal and anything else people want to do on the Sunday. Please please can you put your name below if you are still coming, stating which weekend you'd prefer so we can organise things. Thank you Chris _________________________

The 2nd weekend is fine with me but it just needs to be sorted. Seems daft going to Manchester and paying £30 for dogs, then meal etc when could do that in Sheffield. Only reason Sarah said Manchester was to try and get more people to come along. It's a difficult one this one... with the economy I understand how difficult it is for everyone. _________________________

I'd simply suggested Manchester as a few people had indicated they wanted to go for a night out there afterwards, so thought if we were doing that then it might be easier doing both there as it would save people money for petrol if only driving to one place. Also, as time was ticking on I thought we needed to make a decision. I really don't mind wherever we go to as long as it's settled soon, so can get hotels booked etc. I agree with you on the £30 restaurant deal thingy, as I think it is a little overpriced for what it is. I've just double checked and whether we go to Birmingham, Sheffield or Manchester we can get in for £5 on Saturday night at all three places just as a normal spectator. _________________________

I for one will not be travelling to Sheffield then back to Manchester after a couple of hours! Maybe spiked tyres would help. It looks like this year has defeated us all with this meet. I think everyones feeling the crunch on this one. It's understandable really. I'm sure we can fix something up in the New Year instead. _________________________
