So who is a definite for the first weekend in Dec?

If it's switched to the first weekend in December I'd find it difficult to attend unfortunately.

Just to add... I really think we need to make a decision asap on this. Going to the dogs in Sheffield followed by a night out in Manchester came out tops in the poll, however as pointed out it would be more practical to do both in Manchester, therefore I propose we go for this on one of the first two Saturdays in December. As per my post above, I would much prefer it was on the second Saturday, but if I have to miss out this year in order for the meet to go ahead then so be it. We can then go for a 2for1 pub meal and anything else people want to do on the Sunday.

Please please can you put your name below if you are still coming, stating which weekend you'd prefer so we can organise things.

Voting is too slow Harper and many are unable to attend.

The 2nd weekend is fine with me but it just needs to be sorted.

Seems daft going to Manchester and paying £30 for dogs, then meal etc when could do that in Sheffield. Only reason Sarah said Manchester was to try and get more people to come along.

It's a difficult one this one... with the economy I understand how difficult it is for everyone.

I'm quite happy wherever we go to the dogs at. I'd simply suggested Manchester as a few people had indicated they wanted to go for a night out there afterwards, so thought if we were doing that then it might be easier doing both there as it would save people money for petrol if only driving to one place. Also, as time was ticking on I thought we needed to make a decision. I really don't mind wherever we go to as long as it's settled soon, so can get hotels booked etc.

I agree with you on the £30 restaurant deal thingy, as I think it is a little overpriced for what it is. I've just double checked and whether we go to Birmingham, Sheffield or Manchester we can get in for £5 on Saturday night at all three places just as a normal spectator.

tbh, I wouldn't choose to eat at any dog's track......if we go to the dogs in Manchester, I know some amazing restaurants in the city centre that are not expensive. I for one will not be travelling to Sheffield then back to Manchester after a couple of hours! The second weekend is good for me however, but as mentioned above, I won't be doing a huge circle for a couple of hours dogs racing!

Well choose one venue for the whole thing and it's sorted. Second weekend seems to be the best , so I hope people don't mind if I say that should be set in stone. Just choose your city and were done I'm sure there would be alot more interest in this if the whole site had access but they will just have to accept what is chosen when they come back.

It wouldn't be just the dogs Stu... it would be Dogs, Meal and Night out. Would drive home after this then.

If we can get the Manchester Dogs at a better price (excluding food) then thats good with me.

Yes we're all settled on Manchester now.

Excellent... just need to hope I can get my car there now lol. I'm sure things will be fine. I'll drive in snow, just aslong as it's not deeper than my splitter as i won't move anywhere otherwise lol.
