Rear seat not falling forward.

Hi, My left hand bigger rear seat is not falling forward dur 2 the fact the catch seems 2 be broken. The reason i say that the lever u pull moves freely while the lock is shut not releasing the chair. Does any1 know how to get 2 the lock so i can either replace it or repair it? many thanks.

this is a new one, i can have a look at the mechanism tomorrow at work and see if i can think of a way to get it open, can you not see from the back?

right what you have to do is take take the bezel off around the lever, then carefully take the seat material from around the seat starting from the edge of the mateal plate at the back of the seat,use a screwdriver to prize the material out f the grove, it doesnt damage the material as it only wrapped around the foam and not stitched, then when the corner of the material is pulled off, theirs two bolts on the mechanish , take them out and the mechanish should fall out ready to replce, it took me 10 mins max to do mine, ill get some pictures tommorow

Ne pictures wud be helpful. i c the bolts u r talking about. A little worried about taking the material off, just thinking will it go back the same. cheers Goodyear.

dont be mate, just be carefull, take the headrest off and slowly full it, and yeah it will 100% it just kinda clips back around the foam again, i did it with my leather ones and it whent back fine without any problems, i shall take pics of the out come but not peeling it off again, its ok mate
