does any1 else have problems starting there st as i have been. its not all the time, just sometimes i go to start her she cranks over but dosent start, so i have to try again and she start? just wondering if any1 else has this problem?

yes i have the same problem just does it sometimes then its ok
dont know what to do coz ford wont really take you on if you say it only does it now and again

well my friend works for ford and he updated the brain which he was hoping would work but didnt, so its going back in, on week monday,but they also have another one there which is doing it,

From the sounds of it this is a common problem with the happens to me too sometimes but i would say only like once every few weeks or so.

well the only reason im taking it back in is cos sat mor i went to work not a problem with starting it went to go home 2 hrs later and she started but the revs kept going down like she was cutting out then starting again and that kept happening til i turned her off

isnt there another similar post as people were having big problems with this and also i had similar on a sporadic occasion with my puma. never got it seen to tho as it was so irreg'

Yeah ford are aware of it. If you go to a ford dealership they can recreate the fault by only cranking it slightly then letting go before it starts. its as if its a fueling fault cos if you touch the throttle it starts.

Have you tried to recreate it by half cranking it? then after that it should happen so you can point it out the the dealership. rather than them looking for an intermittent fault.

yes have tried that i was just seing if anyone else was having this problem really as i dont really no anyone from around here with an st to talk to. and my mate who works for ford asked me to have a look to see how common it was.
