I did the cling film back at FITP 2004 to my silver focus. I had so many people laugh and take the micky... then, got there, pealed it off... No cleaning or polishing... just perfect. I think it's deffo a good way of keeping all your hard work nice. I would do it to the  but it gets so hot on the front wings that it would melt it on... that wouldn't be nice.
