Im with elephant and I pay 120 a month! Thats fully comp though! Try what others have said and put one of your folks on as named driver...thats what I did to get it down...unfortunatly I live in London so I always get a high quote  Word of advice though if you do find a good quote on gocompare or any insurance comparison website dont go through them go to the company direct as im sure they charge if you do monthly!! Secondly, I'm sure i have read a post on here somewhere that has said the insurance company increases your NCD even though you are just a Named driver, so you could have your Mom as the Main driver with you on the policy, and build up your NCD.
Has anyone read this. 
if i remember right awhile ago people where getting court out for doing this.. 'parent as main' 'kid is the proper main driver' insurance companys found out and blar blar..
