Definantly a flat battery. Next time see if you can get it so the lights flash once and then it dies.

When you say once a week how long is the trip? Could be your not having long enough to charge the battery. Also the cold weather will sap the life out of the battery

Thanks Micky - I'll see if I can get the battery out tonight for a charge...

*ahem* Unfortunately, my weekly trip in the car consists of a 5 minute drive to Sainsburys!

Scotty - out of interest, in your flat battery race, how long did it take for Micky's battery to go flat??

Just checked on the pics and about 1 1/2 hours. That was would be claseed as extreem usuage.
Only 5 miles won't be enough to charge the battery. Go for a drive for fun aswell

Yep, you guys were right - my battery was flat! It took a good charge (about 8 hours) before it was ready but it's working a charm!

I'm driving back for Christmas next week, so it'll get a good run then...

Thanks for all your help!!

Paul
