Basically its been snowing lots, and when ive been driving my ST alot of the time my back two tyres lock up alot while im driving, thus causing my car to feel like im dragging something. Its quite worrying, especially when going around corners, a very very vague feeling with the steering wheel because basically my back two tyres are drifting everywhere. Can anyone shed some light on this, my tyres may be a bit too bald for this weather? Or do you reckon ice has lodged somewhere. My cars been lowered 35 mm, and it has mudflaps...

My handbrake actualyl feels different, theres alot of extra give in the handbrake, it pulls up far too easy if you know what i mean. Only started happening in the freezing weather though.

Sounds like the handbrake is slightly stuck on

It does make sense....i thought it might be something to do with my tyres or whatever...it is -13 degrees outside though. When i pull the handbrake lever up it is like really really light. Anyway to unfreeze the handbrake fluid? Cuz i drove the car for about 15 minutes, parked it cuz i went to do a bit of shopping, came back thats when it started locking the back tyres up.

There is no handbrake fluid as such It suggests if the handbrake is really light then the handbrake is already stuck on You may need to jack the back of your car up, take the handbrake off, then try spinning the back wheel and see if it moves freely

as above jack it up and make sure the handbrake when off actually releases the piston. It does happen in the cold weather, i had this problem on my rs i jacked it up and warmed the rear calliper up with a hot air gun cos it was frozen solid.

Yeah ill jack it up, this week was the coldest its ever been though, like about 2 weeks ago when it started snowing it was only like -1 so when i first start my car the handbrake feels really light but as i drive it about it gets back to normal, now that its -15 degree temperatures it just stays like this...
