that price is crazy, only an idiot with too much money to know what to do with it would spend a million quid

Indeed. I have one of those 'Interesting Facts' type of books, (because i'm that type of boring guy ).

An American chap once bidded a million £ on e bay for a £1.00 Sterling COIN.

Money can do funny things to you when you have too much of it!

I'll let you know when someone buys my £1.

To be fair money dosn't change everybody.

Girl i used to work with got 2.3 miliion on the lottery.
She got a bigger house but not excessive(just over 500k) She got a merc 4x4 and her husband an m3 convertiable. She carried on working 1 day a week (they had just had a child) and her husband went to work for his father business as that was struggling at the time. I think the only semi mad thing they have done is buy a small speed boat.

I mean 2.3million is a lot but its not....

You can buy a house car etc but you can't live of it for the rest of your life once you have bought it all

For the fact that its not enough money to keep yourself entertained every single day

It's good to hear to stories like that, Micky. I was reading about Micky Carroll, who frittered away £9.7million, the other day and it annoys me. I agree with Adam though. It's a lot of money, but not so much much that it won't disappear unless you invest it wisely or don't waste it.

If I had 1000000 I could make it last me the rest of my life, if I lived the same as I am now but without working and just living off the interest

Same here. If you buy a nice house no mortgage (which is most likely the biggest debt you have) you could easily have a good standard of living off 1 million

Yeah the smart thing to do is what those people did that Micky mentioned...
Don't go nuts and carry on working or you will just lose it all like 98% of lottery winners

So what would you do when you would normally be working?? You wouldn't have enough to fill those hours as well.....you'd be bored
