Just wanted to say hello to everyone again. I haven't been on here for literally years and decided it was about time to come back to my favourite car forum.

I am just in the process of swapping my MK6.5 Fiesta Zetec S tdci for a Focus Zetec S tdci.

Ben

I did yes, two actually. I got my first facelifted ST in December 2005 then my second one in 2006. Absolutely loved them! I was very lucky though as I lived in Germany with the Forces so got heavy discounts and could get them tax free. When I moved back to the UK I got the Zetec S diesel for better running costs and am now trading it in for a Focus Zetec S diesel.

I just looked at when I joined - October 2005, blimey!

Oh, and I am not able to post in some parts of the forum now, is there a reason for that?

I was going to ask if anyone knew if it's possible to buy the official privacy glass from Ford? My new Focus doesn't have privacy glass and I am not too keen on having the film-tinting done and would rather the pukka stuff. Is this possible?

I did have a mate who had a bad job done and it started coming off.

And I'm surprised there aren't more Bens on here, usually there are loads of Bens everywhere. Although officially I am a Benjamin.

Oh, and if anyone is interested I have some brand new (with tyres) 17" Ford Focus Zetec S wheels for sale. The car I've got has had the wheels upgraded to the 18" and the dealer is letting me take the standard ones to sell on as they can't do anything with them.

How do you think it is done when its a factory option mate.............

My mate owns his own tinting & vehicle wrapping company and does work for Ruxley BMW & Mini down here in Kent. So when a customer orders their X5 or whatever, they drop the car to him and he does the tint before they finish preparing the car for delivery

where abouts are you based? mine cost £80 for the back 3 and are bang on- not had a single problem and even if you did surely just go back to where you got it done and they'd do it for you?
some people have had the film 'baked' on but can't see the point myself as i say mine are really good and they were cheap as well from what i've seen on here

The site has had to take a compulsary membership to be able to post due to the huge costs involved in keeping it online now. It's £5-10 for lifetime membership. This isn't too bad a deal really. I hope you will join us

I think the Ben status should go on post counts so new old Ben is no1. Only 7 more bens and one of you can be Ben 10
