the cars i narrowed it down to were a Mondeo ST tdci and a fiesta ST

Just a quick question, what made you choose the fiesta over the mondeo? If you want a family car that has a fair bit of grunt, you really cant fault the mondeo. not a dig or anything, just my dad has one and i love it (plus, it would be cheaper for me to insure that than a fiesta ST lol)

I chose the fiesta because all the mondeo's I found were 70k plus miles with doubtful service history. Every car I looked at had the rear bumper hanging off. Also after getting some inside info from a ford tech, the mondeo's do suffer some high mileage problems. A focus st would have been in the running, but the fuel consumption is bad.

lovely ST mate!! looks awesome!

I don't think lowering will change the comfort as the shocks are the same- i did a lot of research into eibach springs as i carry lots of weight in the car. So glad i lowered mine now though! looks sexy
if you want some advice on the eibachs just send me a PM

Ahh, cool. My dad's is an 06 plate with 35k on the clock so i havnt noticed anything yet lol. Focus ST's are amazing but like you said, the MPG is shocking!
