see these in Halfords the other day with a demo they look pretty sweet but waste of money tbh I can leave my side lights on which do the same trick.

No they dont have to be LED strips the ones on my MiTo are a duel filament 5w/21w lamp that when the DRL's are on are the 21w and when the headlights are on they are the 5w. There is no option on the MiTo to have only the sidelights on but as its pre Feb 2011 you can go into the menu and switch off the DRL's

I personally like DRLs. I've just bought some for the Focus actually!

At least you'll be able to see the idiots who drive around in the dark, dreary winters with no lights on now. You flash them and they have no idea, same when they only have sidelights on at night. Stupid buggers!
