Hey guys,

I've recently been looking at perhaps trying to add some wider arches to the car, to give it more of a 'rally' stance, but not OTT as with the WRC wide arch body kit.

Has anybody looked into this before? I'm just wondering if it would still work with the lines of the car by adding some and widening the track a bit..

Jim

hmm, it was just a thought, I hear you can get some that make it 60mm wider each side, just thought it would make it look a bit more aggressive.

As sometimes when I look at the car, it looks a bit high but slim. And was gonna try to cure it by bringing out the arches to give it a little wider stance.

Prob just me being silly though!

You could Photoshop it a bit just to see first!

Not sure how it would go without some of the other panels being changed a little.

eg... bonnet vents, different spoiler etc. IF it's an RS look you're going for????

it look's shyte.

the JWRC kit only looks good if you rally spec it, driving that on a day to day basis just looks horrible imo.

Sooooo true the track of the car will also have to be widened by 60mm atleast for it to look half decent!!! Lots of work!!!

Personally to make the car look less tall and top heavy I would just lower it on coilovers wide alloys and spacers!!!
Down and out I think is the phrase .... Lol

I already have it sitting on coilovers, and have spacers ready to fit, but I dont't think spacers will make the car look 'wider'

I have a black roof aswell which is supposed to give the impression that the car is'lower' but still feels like its high..I think it's just the shape of the car, and the impression I have of it.

I may have a look into the arches and widening the track, but there might just be little things I can do to change the way I look at it

Thanks for your opinons though fellas

Jim

What about mud flaps? they give the appearance that the car is lower and much wider. Plus, they do the job they're supposed to lol

Just a random question, have you thought about using an arch roller to see what ya can gain from using that so it doesn't look ott?? That's if they can be arch rolled, I have no idea?? Just a thought! I think spacing the wheels out would deffo help! Worth thinking about! Best of luck! Hope to see pic's!
