At the moment the law states that you're breaking the law if you're driving a car without being insured to drive it. It's changing so that it will be illegal to own a car without insurance - even if it's being kept on private land and not being driven - unless it's been declared as SORN.

WHAT!?! so would this apply to professional racing cars in warehouses?

bloke down the road has 3 Evo's prep'd for rallying they are not regestered on the road or even insured by any bog standard insurance companies he never uses them on the road and uses heavy loader to transport them to events.

he will have to pay government to keep them? what has society come to flipping mega pissed off with how this country is slowly but surely turning into.

all this tax and i can't see any improvements since the NHS

I think he could declare them as SORN which i dont think you have to pay for do you?
as long as he didn't drive them on the road.
Still completely pointless though

They can't inforce that as STASON has made the valid point of car collectors and racing teams...
