Thanks very much. I'm hopefully going to have a look tomorrow after work to see how easy it is to remove the current blanking plates, and see what wiring (if any) is behind the bumper. Apparently some of the fiesta's have the wiring in situe, even though there are no spots fitted, so its just a case of plugging them in and away you go (hopefully?).

nicki - thanks for that. I cant say i've noticed the two step pull on the light switch. As far as i know on mine it just pulls out once for the rear lights. Hopefully i'll be wrong though, as its not something i've properly looked at in the past.

ok, so i know its probably easy as anything, but does anybody know how to remove the blanking plates from the bumper? I havnt been able to get the car up on a ramp yet to check the underneath out, but was wondering if it was just a case of unclipping them and popping them out?
